Maintenance free. Low wear rate. Seizure resistant. High static and dynamic load capacity. Resists solvents. Compact and light. Good frictional properties with negligible stick-slip. No water absorption. Electrically conductive (shows no electrostatic effects). Good embedability. Tolerant of dusty environments. Maximum load 250N/mm2. Speed limit (in oil) 5 metre surface speed per second.

Material is steel, bonded with porous sintered bronze interlayer which is impregnated and overlaid with polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE).

Operating Temperature -200 degrees to 280 degree C.
